Vote EARTH! Go GREEN!

Yes, you saw the title right. I typed this post in conjunction with the Earth Hour ’09 that was held yesterday, 28th of March, at CapSquare, KL. (Well, the title was influnced by Puteri with “Vote Earth” and Joey G, who was the speaker of the event with “Go Green”.) That night, Joey G asked the audiences a very typical yet crucial question, what it means to “Go Green”? He has said that beside switching of the lightings and reducing the usage of electricity a day, there are also other means like not littering, not to waste of water to preserve Mother Earth and etc etc. Those are just the normal ways of people around us do things to be “green”. To think of it again, what it really means to “Go Green”?
I had a friend who asked me this similar question again right after the event. Obviously some would just answer the same like how Joey G said. “But think again do you really know what it means to “Go Green” and what it meant by “Go Green”?” said my friend. After hearing this, I knew want to know something more. (Actually he just needed help in his assignment. LOL) Well, this is what I explained to him.
The colour green to us represents the land, the environment, the very habitat of the very beings like us stay in the heart of our great Mother Earth. The green could represent the very simple cell of an organism to the largest tree on Earth. It was the greens that we as humans have our very basic materials to build our own shelter. It was the greens that to many have thought to bring peace in mind. It was the greens that build up the very foundation of the many cures to the disease as well as for the future of anti-cancer drugs. It was the greens that has been a great habitat for the vast population of various kinds of animals. The very green itself states the primary state of the looks of our lands that is now a tale to tell to many of the countries to their nations’ children. Would you want it to be the same for you in the future?
Without the greens, our Mother Earth would looks as bare from space. The lost of many flora and fauna would eventually become a part of the museum or even just in a book, noting as a story to tell to the following generations ahead of what it looks like. We are not selfish beings who only care for ourselves, we are beings created with interlectual abilities who are able to think of what is best for us as well as for the best of our future generations ahead. You wouldn’t want your children to suffer. You don’t even want you, yourself to suffer from the countless why as well as the countless answer to give to your children, to explain of all the lost environment that we once have. Besides, you don’t want to stroll around the park wearing special made suits and mask. Am I right? Hehe
Go Green to me would mean to vanquish of whatever source that might cause such a tragedy in the future and to do something that might eventually lighten the burden for the recovery of our beloved Mother Earth. You don’t want Mother Earth to do something to us like in the movie “The day after tomorrow” right? It is an act to repay what Mother Earth has gave us, it is to repent of the things that we have taken for granted, it is going towards a goal of restoring the “Green” part of the world, not just for you, or for me. Its for everyone and everything on Earth. Vote Earth! Go Green!

What is a MAN/LADY?
Whoa....volley of posts....haha...third one and on going....anyway this is also another request.
I was asked this question, what is a man to me and vice-versa.
Haha....well...what is a man....Biological wise, a man is a male human who has over gone the part called puberty and gained maturity. But to many out there, what does a real man really mean? A guy who is able to be doing everything without any help? A guy who is able to fight off anyone in a fight and save a gal like in stories? A guy who is able to lead people? or is it a guy who is able to deal with peoples problem?
haha...since i was ask to publish my opinion, then i shall do so.
For a man/lady to be a MAN/LADY, the following has to be achieved:
1. Be yourself to no matter to anyone, but be ready to accept changes.
2. Put down your ego. (reality wise, non is able to do so.)
3. Able to take care of yourself as well as others but never force yourself to go through tough times.
4. Admit your weakness and change it whenever needed.
5. Be proud of who you are.
6. Most important, believe in the you that those who love that believe you. *winks*
To me, if you are able to do so, then you are the MAN/LADY!!! ^^

Story of $25 from Liv jie
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'
The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25 and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

Be you...Just you
This is a request from one of my friend who wanted to open the eyes of someone they treasure about the importance of living their life as their own.
Was walking down the street, minding my own business and accidentally eavesdropping into someone's conversation, probably talking to a friend or so... But yet talking about something very similar to what most people these days talks about...."I wish I can be like someone else...."
Years back I had wished for the same thing, like the saying goes, "the grass is always greener on the other side". I had a friend, who always wanted to be like his idols like anyone else, till it had been some kind of a nuisance to most of the people out there. Obviously to a point, trying to be someone that you are not would only bring yourself to bitter point of life if you could not achieve it. Its not wrong to put someone you idolize to set as a goal to achieve, don't get me wrong...hehe....but its just that don't get consumed by it.
To kinda think back, if it wasn't because of some of my friends and me, I couldn't imagine what is the future of him. The thing i remembered so far on that incident was a punch on the face and told him this, "SHUT UP AND LIVE ON YOUR OWN LIFE YOUR OWN WAY, NOT OTHERS. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE *****(name of idol not mentioned), AND ONLY ONE YOU!" Bold? but true enough, good thing that got him back to reality.
We've seen enough from the world around us, the news and what ever it is that we manage to get our hands to. Someone just trying to be someone else, for instance for gals to be following how a model work their lives, living in their own lives, spending and even to the point of pursuing the "ultimate" body figure and getting the perfect boyfriend and etc etc. I remember there was a news on gals getting into slimming pills just to be like Paris Hilton or the Olsen Twins, besides pills they even became anorexic, vomiting every piece of things out of the mouth after they are in. Life-threatening leh* (Typical Malaysian Chinese style of speech).
The bottom line is, why bother being someone you are not? People would not appreciate someone who couldn't even live up to their own life. Is there any fun to it being someone else? What will you do if you manage to achieve without being in one piece? What will you do if you were able to achieve it? End your life? Get angry about it and hate yourself? Come on, you must have realize there is a reason why you are given a name by your parents. I remember i asked my mom once, I only remember she told me that there can only be one person to have such a name, her son of hers^^ (Chinese name so can be easily differentiated but same goes to all other names no matter race or culture). Besides, living like someone else, from my point of view, its kinda boring, living your own life to the max with your own creation to your wonderful life....ain't that even better? XD
To that person...like the famous sentence from Russell Peters..."You! Be a MAN! Do The Right Thing!" She likes the person that you are and not the you that imitates someone else.^^ Cheers

Believe in yourself

*"look like a bloody gay...lol"
Hello & welcome again in to my realm right at the point blank of reality...lol...to frequent readers, I would like to say my many thanks for "staying tune"..haha.. as for the new readers, welcome and please do comment and give your name^^
With no further delay, let me say about this really boring, yet a topic that has yet to inspire people to be so. Yes...it's bout believing yourself. Sounds simple, yet sometimes its not something easy to achieve especially with certain situations like....people not trusting you or probably you've failed in something for several times and you were asked to do it again.
Well, the best example that people give these days as motivation is nothing more than upcoming President of the United States of America, Barrack Obama. Hey, no doubt he is a great man that he made it thru this elections but did you know the harsh comments and strong opposition. Why? look at him....His Black. That's the word, black. The US has been known for its discrimination towards colours, well, last time...haha...But look at it now, it was he that won the election, with plenty of supporters.
When i listened to his speech, it wasn't what he said in his speech that made me wanted to support him (of course, i can't vote for him), but it was the self confidence, the amount of believe that he gave himself that inspired people to believe in the changes that he could bring, the many crisis that he stumble upon them and make them disappear. That's the thing that made people believe in him.
I used to be one of the kind of people who never believed in myself in doing anything, in the end, I couldn't achieve anything. No doubt when try you might fail again, but for sure, everytime you try there is a chance that you will succeed, as what the saying of the Chinese says, everything has it's balance like yin and yang. If you don't try, you'll get no chance instead. So, which is better?^^
For another example, Nick Vujicic, which was introduced to by Belle. Now, that's a real man i tell you. I guess by looking at the video clip that I add below, you'll understand why I say so.
Do you get why you need that believe in yourself already? Well like Nick says be thankful with what you have. Because if you bad, you don't worth anything, then....what about him?^^
Think about it my friends. Take your time, look around you and learn to absorb^^ Like Nick said, Don't just wish, do it!! haha...which reminds me of the first movie of the Matrix. Morpheus told Neo, "Don't try to hit me and hit me." Get me? ^^

YES Man
No no no...don't get this title wrong...it ain't the same as the topic before... This is basically based on what I saw in the trailer for the movie 'YES' or 'Yes Man' from imdb.com, which it's main actor is carried by Jim Carrey.
Well, to be honest, from the first looks of it, it seems like another humour movie which we probably laugh our heads off knowing nothing at all like the old school flick acted by Jim Carrey. But to kinda think of it....how many or to some, how much (superbly in plurality...lol, no such words though) times that we say the word 'No' and how unlikely for us to say the word 'Yes'? well, in general, anything that comes to you...
In the trailer, Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) has the most negative characteristics and has always use the famous word of all....'No'...till he met Terrance Bundley (Terrance Stamp) who challenged him to say the word 'Yes' without saying any 'No' for a full year to everything...(to be honest, can't be to anything lah...haha...it would be purely stupid...sorry for the ill manner, anyway that's not the main point ^^)... At the part of the trailer which when he started to notice the changes in his life towards the positive side. This is where it had struck me. This is the point where we should change, this is the turning point, or at the very least, the U-turn towards a better, healthier lifestyle.
But seriously, have you really count on how many 'Yes' that you've said so far towards any opportunity or to any situations even talking to your friends or your own child?
As much as studies has made, the word 'Yes' is the most popular, positive word to everyone. But yet, as one ages, the lesser the word have been used, especially during times these days when everything is a risk, everything seems like as is its life threatening. Anything can cause thing to change inside out.
Even if it's so, why not take it as a change for the best instead for the worst?^^ this is the same logic used when someone asked you to look a glass filled with water, whether it is half full or half empty.
What i'm trying to say here is, give yourself a chance to be positive, give yourself a chance by just saying the word 'Yes'. Who knows, you might even have your very own life change for the best and having yourself to live your life to the max and enjoy it^^
so....Would you think you're life is like a glass half full or half empty? ^^ Do tell me ya...
